Pages 16-30

Now I know who was at the door. You would never believe it... it was Naomi's and Owen's mom! They haven't seen there mom in seven years. Gram was super surprised ( I was to!), and Owen and Naomi didn't even remember her. Although Naomi knew she faintly remembered her voice. There mom has reddish hair, the same color lipstick, and her name was Terri, but now she changed her name to Skyla. When Gram tells the kids to go to there rooms because she needs to talk to there mother, Naomi decides to eavesdrop on their conversation. Skyla says that her new boyfreind is a tatoo artist and rented a small studio in Lemon Valley. So, she neeeded a place to stay and figured that Gram could let her stay. I didn't expecta twist in the story this early on, but I guess that means the story is going to get even better! Can't wait to read more!

Pages 1-15

Wow! I'm really starting to like this book and I only read about a chapter. Naomi seems like a very fun and interesting character. There are also more characters; Gram, Naomi's great grandma who takes care of her, and her brother, Owen. These are the three main characters that I have learned about so far. Naomi and her family live in the Avocado Acres Trailer Rancho in Lemon Tree, California. I think it sounds like a peaceful place to live. Also, there are some other characters in the story like Fabiola, who is Grams best friend that comes over to their trailer every night. At the end of the pages I read Naomi was doing one of her favorite things... carving soap, when she heard a knock at the door and a voice saying," Anyone home?" and it wasn't Fabiola. I wonder who it was?

Before I Read

I go into this book thinking what it could possibly be about. To me it seems very interesting. As always I read the back of the book and it seems even more interesting.

"Things I am good at"

1) Soap carving, 2) Worrying, and 3) Making Lists

That's not even all of it! But if I write all of it it would be almost a page long! I can't wait untill I start reading this book!
